Wave Rider 30 is the 30th-generation daily road trainer in the WAVE RIDER series. Combining the full-length Mizuno Wave Plate and MIZUNO ENERZY NXT, it is designed to improve cushioning and responsiveness while being easy to handle for everyday joggers and runners just starting out.

The shoe uses a full-length MIZUNO WAVE plate. An exact authorized-retailer page identifies the plate material as PEBAX RNEW, a plant-based high-performance TPU, so it is classified as a non-carbon plate.
